Hi. I've been very bad at blogging lately. We have moved in with my in-laws for the summer while we wait on our house. We have found a house in Woods Cross and we hope to be moving in around late July or early August-ish. So, blogging is a little difficult given my in-laws dial-up internet and the fact that I can't find the USB cable for my camera. Anyway, here is just a little news...Mikayla has been taking swimming lessons and she is doing so great. She loves it. She can put her face all the way in the water and even swim a little without plugging her nose. Of course, she still cries and throws a fit when I try to wash her hair, but she is getting braver. She loves to be in the water. Gweny and Mikayla have become such great play friends lately. It seems that they have both grown-up enough to know how to play well together. Its been great.
Yesterday at breakfast, we asked Mikayla if she wanted to go to Sunbeams. She said, "YES!!" I said, "Oh good, because I really want to go to Relief Society." Then Josh asked, "Can I go to Relief Society with mommy?" Mikayla said, "Sure" and then Josh said, "No, I have to go to Priesthood." I said, "Yeah, the daddy's like to go to Priesthood." and Mikayla thought for a minute and then said, "Um, its ok daddy, I like to go to Preschool too."
A few days ago, Mikayla and I had the following conversation at breakfast...
Mikayla - I don't have a brain in my tummy. Just a throat and a heart.
Me - Well where is your brain?
Mikayla - In my mouth
Me - What does your brain do?
Mikayla - Nuffing
And then just a few minutes later, I got after her a little for spilling her cereal all over the floor and she said, "but mommy, my cereal just tripped over a rock. I didn't push it." She's said that before in reference to her sister.
