End of Summer Happenings
I can't believe that our summer has officially come to a close. It's still unbearably hot outside and the sun still sets around 9:30 pm, but school has started and in my mind, when school starts, summer is over. We did have a really great summer though.
Mikayla and Gweny spent a lot of time with this little guy. One of Mikayla's birthday presents was a block of plaster with dinosaur bones stuck inside of it. She had to carefully dig around and find the bones while Gweny brushed the plaster dust off. It took almost 4 weeks to find all the bones and then she had to clean them and assemble her T-Rex. Anyone who knows Mikayla knows how fascinated she is with dinosaurs and this was the perfect thing to keep her busy this summer. She loved it.

She also went to soccer camp. That was fun for her and the girls spent a lot of time in the backyard this summer. The swingset slide with a hose taped to the top and pool of water at the bottom was just the thing for hot summer afternoons.

Little Wild Animals
Here are some pictures from our trip to the Hogle Zoo. We had a blast. Gweny's favorite animal was the goat??? and Mikayla's were the baby and mommy elephants.
