A Christmas Poem for You

'Twas the night before Monday
When all through the house
The kids were all quiet
And watched Mickey Mouse.

We sat and we waited
Cause Josh and I knew
That Santa was coming!
The kids hadn't a clue!

Then just as the kids
Were all getting sleepy
(It's a good thing we knew
'Cause this would be creepy!)

The door flew wide open,
We heard jingle bells sound
And a loud "Ho Ho Ho"
Filled our home all around.

Mikayla jumped up
Gweny started to cry.
Santa had scared them
That big white-haired guy!

But soon was all right
As they sat on his knee
And he gave them all presents
Right there by the tree.

They hugged him but still
Little man wasn't sure
That Santa was someone
That he could endure.

He told all the kids
That they'd better act right
To be on the nice list
Come Christmas Eve night.

Then he stood, took his bag
And he said "Time to go!
And he left with one last
Great, big, loud, "Ho Ho Ho!"

How cute! Your poem was brilliant and hilarious, as always. I love you, sweet sister. How fun to have Santa come!

What a hoot! I can just picture it now. :) Santa Claus has such power this time of year. His visit will be something the girls will hopefully remember. I remember when I was little and we had something for dinner that had onions in it (I hate raw/juicy onions), and we got a phone call from Santa. He talked to me and told me I'd better eat my dinner. I probably did, but I still don't like raw, barely cooked onions. :)
