Today, Mikayla, Gweny and I went on a walk to enjoy the warm sunshine. Mikayla stopped every few feet to pick some dandylions and other weedy-type flowers. She gathered them all in her dress and babbled the whole time about how to make honey. I half-listened, adding an "uh-huh" and "sure" every once in a while. (bad mommy moment). We came home with her dress full of flowers and while I fed Gwenyth some lunch, she began to make honey. So, if you are interested, honey is made simply by putting flowers in a bowl of water and stirring it. Then, you put it in the fridge. "Then you smash it. And dat's how you make it...for daddy."

Yum, that makes me want some corn bread.
Could you ask your little expert if you freeze-dry the dandelions and put them in your food storage, how this recipe might be adjusted for a long-term use? I think I'll start harvesting dandelions. Does that count as my gardening for the year?
I am loving the new updates Merilee! YOur girls are so cute. And I love to read your writing. I was looking at your book list and I have read and enjoyed them all except I haven't read Goose Girl yet. But I really enjoyed The Princess Academy by the same author.
I love that middle picture! Can you play this week? Tuesday? Friday? We still have to go to the zoo sometime! Or atleast have the kids play out on our playground. Cam just spent the past 1 1/2 hours out there!
