Happy Anniversary to Us!

Josh and I celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday! It has been a wonderful, too-good-to-be-true 8 years! I love Josh so much. It just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait for eternity, its going to be fabulous.

1. Josh is my best friend
a. He inspires me to be better and to do what I want to do
b. He makes me laugh harder than anyone else can
c. I would rather spend time with him than with anyone else in the world.
d. He knows just what to say most of the time, and sometimes he knows not to say anything at all
e. He lets me pick what to watch on TV and he usually lets me pick out the dessert at the grocery store
f. Sometimes, he just knows that I’m feeling too shy, so he covers for me

2. Josh is an Amazing Husband
a. He truly cares about me

c. He makes me feel safe, like not a single person could ever hurt me

a. He is really friendly and always makes sure that no one feels left out

c. He teases, but knows when to stop

e. He flirts with older ladies, because he knows it makes them feel good
f. It’s important to Josh that everyone is happy. He does what he can to help.

h. He is the least judgmental person I know. He is a friend to everyone!
5. He is the Priesthood Holder in our Home
a. We were married in the Temple and I will never take that for granted
b. He tries hard to fulfill his callings
c. He is an example of how we should live the Gospel
d. He leads our family in prayer
e. He knows a lot of primary songs and teaches them to the girls
f. I know that I can always count on him to give Priesthood blessings to my children and me
g. He is faithful to me and to his beliefs
h. He loves the Gospel and isn’t ashamed to live it.
6. He is an Amazing Teacher
a. He loves his job and his students
b. His students love him
c. The faculty members love him
d. He gives his students a reason to finish high-school and go to college
e. He goes the extra mile to prove that they can make a difference in the world
f. He inspires his students to do better
g. He is nice to the shy kids
h. He works extra hard to be good at what he does

a. He asked me out a few times before I said yes
b. We love to sing and play our guitars together
c. We love to watch TV together
d. On our first date, we went to Ruby Tuesdays restaurant
e. When he said, “I love you” for the first time, I said “Thank you.”
f. My dad caught us kissing on the front porch once and said, “Carry on” then went back inside
g. When we were dating, we saw “Return to Me” at least 5 times at the dollar theater
h. He calls me a “Halfling,” because I’m more than a foot shorter than he is

a. He sent me to Colorado twice when my mom was sick
b. He took a few days off of work to be with me during a hard time last month
c. He bought me a new computer for Christmas
d. He brought me back a pretty necklace from GA
e. The house was spotless when I came home from CO
f. He made it possible for me to come on his next school trip
g. He told me that he thought I looked really pretty, even when I didn’t
h. He was patient with me last month, which was a really hard month for me
