New scrapbook program....

Spring Fever!

I don't know about the rest of you, but this winter has been SO hard for the Adams Family. So hard that we decided to bring the slide into the house, so that the kids could play. So, here is a video of Gweny and the slide. She kept crawling up about half-way and then sliding down on her belly. I just thought it was funny.

Just Some News!

Mikayla was picked to give the scripture in Primary yesterday. She was so cute. We had been praticing all week with the scripture that we picked. So when they said, "Mikayla Adams will now give our scripture," she ran up to the microphone and pulled it down in front of her face before I could get to the front of the room. She was SO excited about it. Her proud daddy said that you couldn't understand a word she said, but she was so cute doing and she felt so very proud of herself.

Mikayla is doing so great in her dancing and ice skating lessons. She loves them both so much. I am always so surprised at how well she does ice skating. She can stand up all by herself after she falls down!

Gweny is starting to walk (see below). She's very, very busy. Someone with two kids, please tell me how to explain to the older one that all the toys are now shared toys, and not just hers anymore.

Josh is doing great! He is loving his new job at the high school. His kids all love him. He gets to coach the debate team next year, which he is very, very excited about. For the past few years, the debate team has had about 6 members, but Josh has had over 15 sign up for next year already. We are so proud of him and we love that he gets to come home happy. He also got a very coveted spot on the summer school faculty, which is great news! We love our Josh!

I love that quote. I just think it's funny. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy just got engaged and she is telling him how their relationship would be from that point on...

Anyway, here is a video of Gweny walking. She is at one of my favorite stages, where she can kind of walk and she is so proud of herself, but she can't run away yet!! I think that maybe the sippy cup in her mouth is the source of her special balancing power.

Best Movie I've Seen in a Long Time

Josh and I watched Martian Child last night and I don't know if it is just because we are adoptive parents or not, but we LOVED this movie. It was definitely the most touching movie I have seen in a long time. It was all about loving people for who they are, despite their quirks, and accepting the challenges you have in your life. If you haven't seen this movie...rent it!!! I really loved it.

Bum Police

Josh and I sometimes have conversations with Mikayla that go something like this...

Me: I have a big butt.
Mikayla: Don't say butt, say bum.

Josh: You are a pain in my butt.
Mikayla: Don't say butt, say bum.

Me: Wow, Gweny has a smelly butt.
Mikayla: Don't say butt, say bum.

Josh: But I don't want to go right now.
Mikayla: Don't say but, say bum.

Me: But Mikayla.....
Mikayla: Don't say butt, say bum.

and the best of all happened today:

Josh: Sit your butt down...
Mikayla: Don't say butt, say bum.
Josh: Who do you think you are? The butt police?
Mikayla: No, I'm the bum police.

Happy Birthday, Leeann!

My cutie little sister, Leeann, turns 20 today! Happy birthday sis! We love you so much and we hope you have a great birthday! We can't wait for you to move back to Utah. We are so happy for you and Jay. We miss you and we love you.
